Opinel bread knife with beechwood handle
The LES FORGÉS 1890 chef's knives from Opinel embody the high quality of
French knife-making.
With the series created by the BIG-GAME design studio, Opinel offers a collection
of forged chef's knives that will delight even the most demanding customers.
It was inspired by the work and personality of the two-star chef Jean Sulpice,
who runs the Auberge de Père Bise in Talloires, on Lake Annecy.
The knives, forged from X50CrMoV15 stainless steel with a Rockwell hardness of
56-57 HRC, are characterized by their robustness, balance, durability and cutting quality.
The handle made of stabilized beechwood with its ergonomic profile is a tribute to the
traditional Opinel pocket knife and offers remarkable grip and handling properties.
Typically for a bread knife, this model has a coarse serrated edge that allows effortless
cutting of even and smooth slices.
The knife is also impressive when cutting fruit with hard skins such as melon or pineapple.
The blade that runs all the way to the end of the handle offers stability, even when greater force is used.
The bread knife with blade sheath is shipped in a beautiful Opinel gift box.
