Haller, Half-Handmade Katana, Wooden sheath, lacquered black
Our blacksmith refers to this sword as "Half-Handmade".
That means the forged carbon steel blade on modern machines
carefully sharpened.
The blade surface is polished by hand and has a fine structure.
The back of the blade with 7 mm thickness corresponds to old originals.
The Rockwell hardness of the blade is around 50 degrees.
The sword has a very handy and long hilt made of wood, as well as the
traditional hand applied wrap.
A strong metal tsuba, elaborately decorated on both sides, as well as the lacquered scabbard
made of wood complement this sword.
The sword is for decorative purposes only and for collectors of Asian replicas.
