Gladius Templar dagger with sheath (18)

This spiritual order of knights was founded in 1118.
It was one of the richest and most powerful orders in the Middle Ages.
This was one of the reasons that led King Philip IV to initiate legal proceedings,
which resulted in the order being dissolved by Pope Clement V in 1312.
